Jeff was over in Oxford this week, meeting up with Bob F. Jeff wanted to experience the white-knuckle ride that is punting, so we went to the Cherwell boathouse and hired a couple of punts. Conclusion: punting is a pretty stupid way of getting about on a river and should be banned, replacing the punts will those big-fan airboats that they have in the Florida everglades, as shown in Gentle Ben.
